KAST × Vietnam Global-First Business Opportunity Map
Vietnam may be a better market for KAST Business than it first appears — but not because of crypto adoption.
Request the 15-company mapExecutive thesis
Global businesses. Fragmented financial operations.
The more interesting opportunity is a growing group of Vietnamese companies that already earn globally, pay globally, manage distributed teams, and buy software, cloud and advertising internationally — while their financial operations may still be fragmented across local banks, cards, FX providers and payout tools.
That matches the direction KAST is building toward.
KAST reports raising US$80M in Series A funding, serving more than 1 million users and processing close to US$5B in annualized transaction volume. These are company-reported figures, not independently audited metrics. [1]
Its broader product stack combines USD accounts, stablecoins, cards and international payouts. KAST Business is designed around global accounts, team and vendor payouts, cards and FX. [2]
Rather than asking, “How many Vietnamese crypto users could KAST acquire?”, the more useful question is:
Which Vietnamese businesses already have enough global financial activity for KAST to solve a real operational need?
NEWR mapped 15 Vietnam-based target companies across three initial use cases. The five highlighted here are candidates for qualification; their current banking tools, transaction volumes and demand for KAST still need to be confirmed.

01 · Global operating accounts
Connect international revenue with everyday operations.
For SaaS, software and cross-border commerce businesses that receive international revenue and pay overseas vendors or teams, a global operating account could bring several disconnected workflows together.
Potential early targets include OpenCommerce Group, Katalon and SotaTek.
The opportunity is to validate whether one account can reduce the operational friction between receiving money globally and using it across the business.
02 · Controlled global business spend
A business-spend workflow may matter more than another card.
Vietnamese app, gaming and marketing companies can have recurring international spend across Meta, Google, TikTok, AWS and other cloud services, SaaS subscriptions and overseas vendors.
That makes corporate cards and spend controls potentially more relevant than a consumer crypto card. One company worth validating early is Amanotes.
The question is not whether they need another card. It is whether a global financial account can reduce account fragmentation, card management and cross-border operating friction.
Can the business manage international spend with fewer accounts, clearer controls and less manual work?
03 · Creator and distributed-team payouts
Follow the companies that already pay across borders.
Vietnam also has companies operating creator, affiliate and distributed-workforce networks across Southeast Asia. A strong example is Ecomobi.
KAST supports global bank payouts, while its Local Payout infrastructure converts stablecoin balances into supported local currencies through partner payment networks. KAST documentation lists VND as a Local Payout currency. [3]
VND appearing in payout documentation does not establish eligibility for every Vietnamese business or transaction. Confirm current account eligibility, the contracting entity, payout coverage and the applicable compliance and FX requirements before using a Vietnam workflow.
NEWR assessment
Qualify the workflow before planning a broad launch.
The strongest Vietnam opportunity for KAST may not be crypto users → KAST card.
It may be Vietnam-based businesses that already operate globally but still bank locally.
Our first five companies to qualify are:
OpenCommerce Group
Global operating accountsCross-border commerce activity makes global revenue and vendor flows worth qualifying.
Amanotes
Controlled international spendA global gaming business is a relevant candidate for testing card, advertising and software-spend workflows.
Katalon
Global operating accountsA global SaaS business with Vietnam operations; confirm which entity owns the financial workflow.
SotaTek
Global accounts and team payoutsInternational software-services operations create potential multi-country payment needs.
Ecomobi
Creator and contractor payoutsA regional creator-commerce network is a relevant starting point for payout qualification.

Vietnam operations and a group's headquarters are not the same. Katalon, for example, lists Atlanta as its headquarters and Ho Chi Minh City as an APAC location. The entity that receives revenue and contracts for financial services must be confirmed during qualification. [7]
The next step would not be a broad Vietnam launch. It would be to validate one of three workflows:
- Global operating account
- Team / creator payouts
- Controlled international business spend
Then identify where KAST creates a measurable advantage over the company's existing financial stack.
